Miu Miu closes this last day of Fashion Week with elegance and simplicity. This new autumn-winter collection is like a leap in time, between past and future trends. Simply entitled “Femininity”, the show explores, as its name suggests, femininity from every angle. On the catwalk, we see women, but also men, dressed in skirts and dresses. Why deconstruct gender when it can simply be forgotten? With sensuality and sophistication, the first silhouettes appear. We see wool suits, broad-shouldered coats and pegged pants. After a few minutes, we're plunged into a retro universe, where thigh-high boots, pencil skirts and tartan patterns invade the catwalk. Color is the order of the day, echoing the yellow
scenography.
Trends come and go, and Miu Miu is proof of this. After bringing the officecore trend to the
forefront two years ago, the Italian brand decided to rethink it, and from the looks of the front row, it's already been adopted by the hit girls. In addition to suits and “work uniform”
-style outfits, the focus of the show was on lingerie Satin dresses, sheer tops and bottoms for both men and women. There are also flowing skirts reminiscent of babydolls. Men wear their neckline to perfection, while women adorn themselves with conical breasts. A detail that catches our eye and comes up again and again: straps that slide deceptively over the shoulders.
Shoes and accessories side, moccasins are as fashionable as ever. Pointed and in leather,
they reflect Italian know-how. The famous New Balance x Miu Miu sneakers are revisited
here. Colorful or with a python pattern, they will wreak havoc. Accessories are also an integral part of the outfits. We see brooches, gold or sequined, massive bracelets, mini and maxi bags, bell hats, but also, and above all, the star accessory of this fashion show : high socks. Colorful, glittery or satiny, we don't know about you, but we can't wait to wear them.
A show that mixes cuts and genders, and proves once again that Miu Miu makes fashion,
and not just for women.
