Pelagia Kolotouros, Lacoste's new artistic director, has hit the nail on the head with her first

show. Called “An Invitation”, the show pays tribute to the eponymous founder, René Lacoste. And what better venue than Roland-Garros to present the new collection.

Guests were seated on rounded, clay-colored benches on the Philippe Chatrier court. For this new show, no fewer than 54 silhouettes were unveiled to the guests. Among them were

Venus Williams, Stromae, Adrian Brody or even Adèle Exarchopoulos.

It began soberly, with white looks that stand out perfectly on the clay floor. The looks are

sleek and fluid, but well-crafted. Satin-finish mittens and crocodile brooches are seen. Soon

enough, the star of the catwalk makes an appearance: the iconic Lenglen bag. The first

homage to the founder, reminiscent of the pleating on the iconic Lacoste skirt, it is available

here in several sizes and colors, and is often doubled. Could the double bag be this season's

star accessory?

Between sportswear and chic, comfortable and elegant, cool and sophisticated, this new

collection leaves nothing to chance. We see extra-large jumpsuits, down jackets and

reflective trench coats, accompanied by sunglasses or balaclavas. It makes you wonder

whether we're at the French Open or on Mars... We also see textured knits, fluid, satin-finish materials and a number of technical materials, echoing sportswear. Pelagia Kolotouros has left nothing to chance. Her style is as precise as Federer's backhand.

The second tribute is to the House's emblematic colors: white, fir green and warm sand. The

appearance of bright colors comes a little late. With pink pants and suits, or silver pieces,

Lacoste outfits have never been so festive. There are also faux-leather outfits, touches of

lace and braided knitwear.

Accessories are as cool as they are practical. They include balaclavas, charms, mittens, xxl

logo necklaces and tennis racket bags. In terms of footwear, we're particularly interested in the hybrid pumps-sneakers. Finally, the logo is revisited from every angle. In the shape of a brooch, as a coat fastening, sewn into sweaters or as necklaces, the Lacoste crocodile gets a makeover.
