Hints about Ariana Grande's forthcoming album began popping up last December. The crumbles on her yellow brick road led us to the release of her single “yes, and?” on January 12th, swiftly climbing to number 1 on several global charts, followed by a music video inspired by Paula Abdul’s 1988 “Cold Hearted” hit.

Grateful for the fans' patience after a three-year gap, the singer has cultivated anticipation through a strategic social media campaign for the release of her new album. “Eternal Sunshine” is set to be released on March 8th alongside the single "We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love).”

For over a month, the powerhouse vocalist has teased a new era, posting pictures symbolizing a new Ariana, wearing red lipstick, and fed up with the public opinion about her.

Katia Temkin photographed six unique album cover variants, featuring a close-up shot of Grande's face and a bold red lip, wearing her own R.E.M. Beauty's "On Your Collar" lipstick in the shade "Attention."

Inspired by the iconic film "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," the album is a testament to her artistic evolution and emotional depth. The movie and actor Jim Carey are both favorites of Ariana, and her late boyfriend Mac Miller.

The album borrows inspiration from the movie’s art direction, as seen in the teaser of the "We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” music video, where Ariana wears a similar outfit to Clementine’s character.

In recent interviews, Grande has opened up about how heartbreak and loss inspired this project, channeling her pain and shedding tears while writing some of the 13 tracks, resulting in a musical journey through healing and self-discovery.

The concept album is a collaboration with acclaimed producers Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh. However, the most surprising collaboration comes from “Nonna,” her grandmother, featured on the song “Ordinary Things.”

Anticipate an audacious return, brimming with vulnerability, and authenticity. "Eternal Sunshine" has been meticulously crafted to offer a multi-sensory experience, gracing listeners with Ariana's radiant warmth and embracing light.
