HOLLYWOOD'S 2018 GOLDEN GLOBES

Full of big winner’s, powerful speeches, black dresses and as always a little political drama, The 75th annual Golden Globe ceremony, hosted by Seth Meyers did not disappoint. Being the first post-Weinstein event in Hollywood, the ceremony came with kick-punching acceptance speeches from Oprah and dozens of our favorite actresses wearing stunning black dresses supporting the “Time’s Up” and #MeToo movements against sexual harassment.

Taking away big moments in film was Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Isabelle Huppert and Angelina Jolie presented the film’s four awards: Best Motion Picture — Drama, Best Screenplay, Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Drama (Frances McDormand), and Best Supporting Actor (Sam Rockwell).  Lady Bird, directed by Greta Gerwig, takes home two awards, for Best Motion Picture — Comedy and Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Comedy (Saoirse Ronan).

In TV, HBO’s “Big Little Lies” takes the night with four awards, for Best Television Limited Series, Best Actress in a Limited Series (Nicole Kidman), Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series (Laura Dern), and Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series (Alexander Skarsgard). Other victorious shows such as The Handmaid’s Tale, won Best Television Series: Drama and Best Actress in a Television Series — Drama (Elisabeth Moss).
