CORE CONCEPT WORKING WITH PHOTOS AND ARTISTIC OVERLAY: A COLLABORATION BETWEEN SORRENTI & BALDESSARI
At Half Galley in New York, the two iconic artists Mario Sorrenti and John Baldessari present their exhibition, “Noses, Elbows and Knees.” This exhibition is all about the deconstruction, beauty, and imperfection of the human form, so the collaboration of this exhibition could not be in more fitting hands. Fashion photographer, Mario Sorrenti best known for his photo of Kate Moss in 1990 for the Calvin Klein Obsession campaign, centers his work around the sexuality and curiosity of the human form whether impure or perfect. While conceptual artist, Baldsarri, who resides in Venice California is known for deconstructing found photography into bold shapes and text with a surrealistic narrative.
The union of the two artists creates a must see interesting and thought-provoking exhibition at Half Gallery which runs until January 20th.
