Anthony Vaccarello recently invited Vanessa Beecroft to collaborate at Art Basel Miami. Beecroft, who is originally from Italy, rose to fame in the contemporary art world with her installations that celebrated the female body and questioned the status of women, using themes of both repulsion and desire.

 

Captured by Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama, images of Vanessa Beecroft’s performance for Saint Laurent at the spring-summer 2019 runway show in Paris will be exhibited during Miami Art Basel at the Museum Garage and the Paradise Plaza between December 1st and 15th.

 

These 77 images feature models walking over a thin layer of water with the illuminated Eiffel Tower as a backdrop. This special fashion show brought together dozens of women in some level of nudity invites the audience to admire the female body, while being slightly uneasy, yet intrigued.
