THE BOLD AND LEGENDARY ART OF RICHARD BERNSTEIN
ANOTHER ICONIC PUBLICATION BY ROGER AND MAURICIO PADILHA

Publishers Roger and Mauricio Padilha have written several different Art and Fashion books, some of them being: Antonio Lopez: Fashion, Art, Sex and Disco, The Stephen Sprouse Book, and The Work of Chris von Wangenheim.
Following up such outstanding books, they recently wrote a new one about the one and only Richard Bernstein, and about his bold and unique art.
The book will be titled Richard Bernstein Starmaker and will be published on September 4th of this year.
Richard Bernstein was a New Yorker that quickly became an artist sensation during the Disco Era thanks to his bold and impactful artwork that showed Pop Icons in striking portraits.
Pop artist Andy Warhol, creator of Interview Magazine, saw his work and hired him to create the covers of Interview. The covers themselves became Fashion and Pop Art icons in the industry. His art style perfectly completed Warhol’s magazine; so much that his covers were thought to be Warhol’s himself at times.
His colorful and powerful covers quickly caught everyone’s attention and positioned him as one of the most iconic Pop artists in the world.
Some of his most iconic and recognizable covers are Madonna’s, Cher’s, and Michael Jackson’s, which will be included in the book.
Colorful, bold, bigger-than-life. A few words that perfectly describe Bernstein’s work.
Art. Fashion. Pop Culture. All in one book. Not to mention the personal stories and interviews with the artist’s close friends and collaborators.
Published by Rizzoli International Publications, the book will feature multiple of Bernstein’s most famous and fabulous artwork. This including Interview Magazine covers he did from the 60s until the 90s, editorial work for Italian Vogue, Playboy, as well as some of his rarely seen fine art work and album covers.
